I can't seem to get enough of it. I want to learn, learn, learn! Thankfully, I've had some professional taste-testers, so there is somewhere to put all this food!! Some of the desserts I made were less than exciting, one was downright a failure, and some were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I forgot to take pictures of all of them, but here are a few...
*Lemon Chess Pie, requested by my stepfather, Larry. Too bad the crust was having issues, because the filling was lusciously lemony.
*Shortbread, recipe all the way from Scotland! Nothing but pure rich goodness in these cookies. These are, in fact, some of the only cookies I like with a little crisp :).
*Key Lime Pie. I am surrounded by family members that looooove this pie. I can take it or leave it, but I did find this recipe very delish. It would have been even better if I had had the patience to let it chill longer than the 2 hour minimum.
*My favorite of them all, Open-faced Peace Custard Pie. Halved fresh peaches swimming in sugary goodness. Almost like a chess pie with peaches, only better.
Baking has been the wildest frontier for me lately! Sometimes I wonder what the heck I am doing, but mostly I am loving the freedom to explore, to try new things, and dream of what could be.
If you have a favorite dessert, post a comment and let me know! There are so many desserts out there, its hard to know where to start. Knowing what desserts YOU love would be a great starting point!
Like I said, what a fun and yummy treat, being on the receiving end of this adventure of yours!!! We've (except our spreading tummies) LOVED having these Amazing desserts everyday!! We will be so spoiled when you leave us!!---and for more reasons than the desserts. Love, love, love
